How much video gaming is too much? And how do you strike a balance between work and play in your marriage? I am an avid video gamer but my husband doesn't play. He has a list of stuff to get done around the house a mile long. And I really want to help out, but I also want to game. Now how can we strike a balance that we both can agree to? Has anybody thought about boycotting video games and gaming systems? These things cost too much money, and change too much. After a few years, the system you love is out of date and you can no longer buy things for it. It gets old after awhile and the videogame industry keeps making money with this strategy.

Online video gaming sucks? Is it impossible to have fun playing human vs human? I am very disappointed with video games lately, but with online games it just seems impossible to make a quality game. I haven't played that much online games, but you can clearly see that 98% of the players that go online are people with the mind of a 10 year old. You just can't have fun, unless you play a game 10 hours a day, learn every move, every trick, every map at perfection, and own everybody else. But the goal of these people is not to have fun, but to win. I often see idiots doing lame things in BF 2 like camping vehicles, proning when 2 metres in front of me, bunny hoping, etc. The critical thing is that most of them are even stupider than the AI. I order them to pick me up in the vehicle...they ignore. I throw them medical supplies...they go on although they're almost dead. I tell them to get in the car..they preffer 200 m of walking. What to tell about teamwork? That is impossible. Sometimes, I feel that only incurable idiots play games.I think coop is the only solution. I have to admit that it is terrible fun to play with friends, but really you can't fill up a 64 slot server, and in the future a 128 one. The point I'm tryink to make is that the goal of these 10 year olds that populate absolutely every online game is to win, and not have fun. Even in the perfect game they find exploits and tricks that ruin your gaming experience to the point that you, the guy who wants to have a bit of fun when starting Battlefield 2 for example, gets only frustration and boreness. I tryed WoW, but I don't like the MMORPG genre. I want to be a programmer when I grow up, and it's to my attention that gaming sucks bad lately, even in general, not only online.

Are the next generation platforms the death of video gaming? Seems to me their too expensive for most people or just not reliable at all. And I've seen nothing fresh really in the new games outside of graphics and the Wii controller. I feel a crash coming on like back when the game craze died in the 80's.
