Which resolution should i have for a LCD tv for video gaming?

So i have a question about which tv i should buy? 1.What tv resolution should i get for a LCD tv for video gaming on a Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 2. And what are tvs that have what you recommend from the price range $450-$550 Thanks.

1. 1080p is the best resolution but you're not going to get that for 450 unless its a small screen.

5. $450-550 is only going to get you a small 720p TV at best. For the Wii, this is no problem, the Wii only outputs at 480p anyway. However, for the XBox360 and the PS3, you will not be getting the best picture.
6. Depends, Wii can output up to 480p, while PS3 can do up to 1080p. Don't go too crazy about about having to get a 1080p TV as most people can't tell the difference between a 720p and 1080p till after 52". I'd Try Sam's Club/Walmart or Costco you might be able to pick up a Vizio 32"-37" 720P for that price. Target has a HDTV for dummies book for a $1 in the $1 section at the front of the store, give that a read.
7. You could get a Monitor for that price that would be full hd & have a bigger screen size. But if you really wanted a tv for that price i would buy one of the lesser known brands, because if you do buy a well know brand like sony or samsung your paying an extra $100 for the name. But if you did buy a lesser known brand you could get a much cheaper tv with a slightly bigger screen, that outputs the resolution.
