What is the one video game that made you love gaming?

Even though the Atari got me into gaming, I think the original Legend of Zelda for the NES made me a true gamer. What about you? What game really made you love video games?

  1. the legendary..... Super Mario Brothers 3 and Super Mario World also the First Super Mario Brothers
  2. Probably Super Mario 64
  3. um pokemon
  4. f-zero. played it at my friends house. i wasn't good at it, but fun trying not to crash.
  5. I would have to say super mario 64 i got hooked in really quickly and made want a n64 badly.
  6. I also grew up with the Atari 2600, but it was an old game called Bard's Tale 2 for my Commodore 64 that made me fall in love with RPG's, never had a game got me so involved before. I spent many months playing that game, probably cause I had to draw my own maps in the dungeons.
  7. Tough choice. The first games I ever played were on the old Sega Master System and then on Nintendo. Alex Kidd in Miracle World, some sort of safari duck hunt clone, Super Mario, Duck Hunt..Then Genesis came out and I discovered Sonic the Hedgehog. But the first game I ever really loved was Ecco The Dolphin, and I still do. Playing as a dolphin (my favorite animal), the plot, and the music just combined to make this beautiful game. Insanely hard, at the time, but beautiful.
  8. If you're talking gaming in general, the original Star Wars arcade game (with the vector graphics, featuring the tie fighter shootup, the tower run, and the Death Star trench run) is what hooked me originally into gaming. If you're talking home system, I got addicted to Tecmo Bowl on the NES. Many late nights spent playing with college buddies on that game!
  9. Anything at the arcades!! back in 1990's.
  10. Definetly Mario 64

  13. Here's one from the old guy (50). I started playing my PS2 in May 2003, I had never played video games until then, except PACMAN at the local bar (but that's not a real video game). The first three games I played were "Wolverines Revenge", "Castlevania - Lament of Innocence" and "Star Wars - Bounty Hunter". Those three got me hooked and I've been playing ever since and loving it!!
  14. halo defintely halo it is by far my favorite any thing halo everything halo
  15. Sonic the hedgehog was a great platformer loved getting the chaos emeralds and spryo the dragon oh, and crahs bandicoot
  16. i would say either super mario or perfect dark zero for the 64
  17. Definitely it has to be Resident Evil, even when the first video game I played was MK, RE opened my eyes and showed me how great games could be. The music, sounds in the distance, story, zombies and monsters really got me and kept me playing for hours trying to discover the secrets in Racoon city (the city where the game takes place). I have played many games since then but I haven`t had this feeling again.
  18. CRASH BANDICOOT !!!!!!!!!! I remember those dayssssssssssssss.
  19. I don't remember the name because it was so long ago, but it was an Atari game.
