- The original PlayStation; 102.49 million units sold, including 28.15 remodeled PS One units.
- yea probably the playstation, either that or the gameboy..
- Now you can add me again ;) I beileve the most succesful was the gameboy colour. It had huge sales and whatever 18-year-old you ask if they ever had a gameboy, the answer is yes, I guarntee you. But this is a portable. The biggest gaming console is most likely the PS1, (Playstation) it got so many sales and everyone has one! But over time and the ages go past, Wii will be the most selling console, I mean there still out of stock!
- definitely the ps2!!!
- PC Games are the most successful video gaming console of all time.
- In terms of sales as it has been stated it was the PS1, but then again there's also more people on the planet these days. Success can be measured in different ways though. Personally I'd say that the original Nintendo was the most successful gaming system made so far. While the Atari 2600 familiarized people with the idea of video games, it wasn't until the original Nintendo came out that the concept of a video game became so pedestrian that people old and young all had an idea of what it meant. Before the Nintendo not too many people had Ataris and if you didn't you went to the arcade. The Nintendo brought gaming home to a lot of people and paved the way for what gaming is today. In the era of the Nintendo you had so many video game related things branching out in to pop culture like game shows, cartoon spin-offs, magazines, apparel, and so many other things. The Nintendo really pioneered the gaming industry as it is today and in some ways it has yet to be beat in that sort of iconic level.
- The nes back in it's time it held 95% of the whole video game market think what would have happened without it
- I personally liked the N64 the best. it was simple, easy to use, and had really good games. for the new consoles, id say the original xbox or PS2. handhelds oviosly ds
